STAR WARS ZERO COMPANY GUIDE

Focus Tree & Respec Guide — How to Rebuild Your Operator

How to change Specialization, refund Focus Points, and plan around fixed story Talents.

Zero Company character customization interface with equipment options

The safe answer: you can rebuild early, but a story Operator’s fixed Talent investment is the exception. The reported path opens Change Specialization in Cycle 3, changes class at no cost, and refunds flexible Focus Points.

Changing Specialization

  1. Interact with the Personnel console beside the map table.
  2. Move to the Focus Tree tab.
  3. Select Change Specialization in the lower-right corner.
  4. Choose the new class.
  5. Reassign the refunded Focus Points.

Check the location and timing in your current save before committing a rebuild.

The fixed-Talent exception

Focus Points spent in the Talent at the top of a story character’s tree are not refunded when changing Specialization. Hawks’ fixed Talent is Fearless Leader, which improves team-wide assist damage, defense, and chance-to-hit bonuses.

That leads to a practical split:

Point typeWhat happens when you change Specialization
Flexible Specialization tree pointsRefunded
